As demonstrated by their close loss to Leinster in the Investec Champions Cup semifinals, flanker Courtney Lawes believes Northampton has the potential to be one of the best club teams in the world.
In front of over 82,000 spectators at Croke Park, Leinster prevailed 20–17, but not before the Saints mounted a valiant comeback from a 20–3 deficit to set up an exciting finale.
According to Lawes, Saints need to make the most of that expertise if they want to dominate club rugby.
The former England captain said on news “A lot of players have never played in front of anywhere near that amount of people.”
“Being able to perform on a stage like that takes time.” The lads are having a terrific time getting beneath their team.
