According to city police, the 66-year-old star of Fargo and Broadwalk Empire was struck in the face by an unknown person on May 8 while strolling through midtown Manhattan.
He was brought to the hospital with bruises, swelling, and bleeding in his left eye, but otherwise fine, according to his publicist.
A guy wanted in connection with the attack was apprehended on Friday, authorities said.
The 50-year-old homeless guy was charged with second-degree assault in the same precinct as Buscemi’s incident.
Authorities said on Tuesday that they had identified the man as the suspect and were looking for him.
