Due to their energy-saving qualities, air fryers became quite popular during the cost-of-living crisis and are currently used more frequently than traditional electric or gas ovens, according to a Good Food Nation research.
Approximately 58% of the 2,003 persons surveyed said they currently use an air fryer, up from 46% the previous year. Their dominance is reflected in the fact that 33% of them do not use traditional ovens.
But although though manufacturers of air fryers frequently assert that their device produces flawless toast, 77% of respondents still use toasters, little more than the 75% who use microwaves.
Additionally, four days a week on average, consumers continue to eat meat, according to the report, with less than a fifth (19%) eating meat every day.
The “surprising” conclusion, according to Good Food, was that the Millennial age group—those between 27 and 42—had the highest percentage of daily meat eaters (26%), followed by Gen Z (16 to 26-year-olds) with 24%.
