According to authorities, two gunmen started their alleged terror attack on the city’s light rail system before moving on foot.
In Jaffa, a neighborhood in southern Tel Aviv with a mixed Arab and Jewish population, the suspects opened fire on a boulevard.
Then, using their own handguns, bystanders and inspectors executed the two.
Shortly after the attack, citizens in Tel Aviv and other parts of Israel sought refuge in bomb shelters due to an intense Iranian rocket barrage.
The shooters were seen on TV shooting after exiting a light rail station.
The MDA ambulance service in Israel reported receiving a report at 5:01 p.m. UK time, or 7.01 p.m. local time.
The MDA also claimed that doctors and paramedics provided on-the-spot care to other patients with a range of injuries, some of which were unconscious.
Bezalel Smotrich, the Israeli finance minister, stated that the suspects were Palestinians from the West Bank city of Hebron, although no one has claimed credit for the attack.
