The tragic explosion near Karachi airport that claimed the lives of three individuals, including two Chinese nationals, was denounced by the US on Wednesday.
Spokesman for the State Department Matthew Miller stated, “We condemn the deadly attack near Karachi’s international airport and we are deeply saddened by the reported loss of life and injured victims,” during a news briefing in Washington.
“We extend our heartfelt condolences to those impacted.”
More than a dozen individuals were hurt in the explosion near Jinnah International Airport, which some officials believe was a suicide assault. The banned Majeed Brigade was blamed for the attack by the government.
The spokeswoman for the State Department also addressed the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) demonstration calling for Imran Khan, the party’s founder, to be freed from prison in connection with multiple charges.
