When a passenger on an American Airlines trip from Milwaukee to Dallas-Fort Worth tried to force open the aircraft door while the plane was 3,000 feet in the air, the altercation quickly got out of control.
An assertive group of fellow passengers reportedly pinned and duct-taped the disruptive individual to stop additional injury aboard American Airlines flight 1915, according to safety records and eyewitness accounts.
The disruptive passenger reportedly demanded that he “exit the aircraft now” before launching himself at the departure door, injuring a flight attendant in the process, according to the flight attendants.
With the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) reporting at least 1.854 disruptive behavior events this year alone, this incident contributes to an alarming trend in aviation.
