Amid mounting pressure from President Donald Trump to accept territorial concessions, Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko told the NEWS that Ukraine might have to cede land as part of a peace agreement with Russia.
“To cede territory is one of the possibilities. It’s unfair. In answer to inquiries from the news, he stated, “But for the peace, temporary peace, maybe it can be a solution, temporary.”
Ukrainians would “never accept occupation” by Russia, the 53-year-old politician and former boxing champion emphasized.
He was speaking just hours after a Russian drone and missile attack on Kyiv left over 80 people injured and 12 dead.
