The Federal Bureau of Investigation has detained a Wisconsin judge for allegedly attempting to assist an unauthorized immigrant who appeared in her court in evading arrest.
According to reports, Milwaukee County Circuit Judge Hannah Dugan was arrested by FBI investigators on Friday morning.
FBI Director Kash Patel said that Dugan permitted Eduardo Flores-Ruiz, a Mexican national accused of three misdemeanor battery offenses related to a brawl, to leave the courtroom in a post on X that was removed minutes later.
Dugan faces a possible sentence of six years in jail if found guilty of both obstruction and concealing someone to escape arrest.
