ISLAMABAD: Due to the entrance of a high-pressure system in the upper atmosphere, the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has issued a heatwave advisory, predicting skyrocketing temperatures throughout the nation from April 26 to 30.
Daytime temperatures are predicted to rise significantly as the weather system, which is predicted to form on April 26 and engulf most of the nation by April 27, moves in.
From April 26 to May 1, daytime highs in the southern regions, such as Sindh, southern Punjab, and Balochistan, are expected to stay 5–7 °C above average.
In the meantime, from April 27 to 30, temperatures in the top half of the nation—central and upper Punjab, Islamabad, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan—are predicted to be 4-6 °C higher than usual.
