Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Syed Asim Munir warned Thursday that any military mishap by India will be greeted with a rapid, resolute, and notch-up response amid escalating tensions between two nuclear-armed neighbors, according to a statement released by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
The army commander made the comments while touring the Tilla Field Firing Ranges (TFFR) to observe Exercise Hammer Strike, a rigorous field training exercise led by the Mangla Strike Corps of the Pakistan Army.
“Let there be no ambiguity: any military misadventure by India will be met with a swift, resolute, and notch-up response,” the COAS told the troops.
