The company claimed to have “restricted internet access at our sites” after someone tried to access its servers.
As Marks & Spencer continues to contend with a cyberattack that has cost it millions of pounds in lost sales, the Co-op shut down some of its IT systems the day before in order to prevent a hack.
According to Harrods, both its physical store and its online store are still operating.
Harrods stated that consumers were being asked to “not do anything differently at this point” but did not specify the extent of the impact on its network.
“We recently encountered attempts to obtain unauthorized access to some of our systems,” a statement from Harrods said.
