A “full and immediate ceasefire” between India and Pakistan was announced by US President Donald Trump on Saturday, following a fourth day of strikes and counter-strikes against each other’s military sites.
A ceasefire “with immediate effect” has been agreed upon by both nations, according to Pakistan’s foreign minister, while India’s foreign ministry stated that it will begin at 5 p.m. Indian time (1130 GMT).
“I am happy to inform that India and Pakistan have agreed to a FULL AND IMMEDIATE CEASEFIRE following a lengthy night of negotiations facilitated by the United States. In a post on Truth Social, Trump congratulated both nations on their use of great intelligence and common sense.
