According to fresh information in the case, Justin Mohn used a machete to decapitate his father Mike before posting a picture of the severed head on YouTube.
The horrific murder scene has been made public as follows:
There was a bloody corpse in the basement bathroom. The dude had no head at all. A large knife and a machete were in the nearby bathtub. Police found Michael Mohn’s severed head shortly afterward, wrapped in a plastic bag and submerged in a boiling pot in a bedroom next to the bathroom.
When the awful events were happening, authorities were unaware of a video that the man’s son had posted to YouTube, where the victim’s head was shown along with comments expressing anti-government sentiments and calls for public executions.
Mohn, who lived with his parents on Upper Orchard Drive, was found to be armed on a military installation. After police contacted his cell phone, they were able to catch him two hours later in Lebanon County.
Justin’s mother and Michael’s wife, Denice Mohn, leaves for work around 2:00 p.m. When she comes back, she finds her husband’s head chopped, the door unlocked, and her son gone.
Police believe that the murder happened between 2 and 5:30 p.m. when Justin Mohn uploaded his graphic video to YouTube and held up his father’s severed head, calling him a “traitor” after revealing that he had worked as a public worker for more than 20 years. The entire movie consists of right-wing tirades aimed at left-wing organizations and the federal government.
