This was the most recent false rumor involving the name.
Not only was there no “Sahil Omar” associated with any of these instances, but there is also no proof that he even exists.
While the originator of the rumors may not have had a clear motivation, politicians and activists with strong anti-immigration stances have fueled internet debates.
