According to Chicago police, an 11-year-old kid was slain and a pregnant lady was gravely injured during an attack on the pair in the Edgewater area on the North Side.
Police claimed they detained a suspect but did not release any information.
According to police, the 33-year-old lady was stabbed and taken to the hospital by city fire department authorities.
Authorities responded at the 5900 block of North Ravenswood Avenue. According to investigators, the youngster died from chest injuries and was discovered around 8 a.m.
The woman suffered many stab wounds.
The Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the woman as Jaydone Perkins.
