A rain and flood emergency was declared by the Balochistani administration in response to the persistently heavy rains that devastated many parts of the province, resulting in numerous fatalities and injuries.
The following locations saw a lot of rain: Kohlu, Musa Khel, Zhob, Sherani, Mastung, and Nushki.
Strong winds and hailstorms in Chaman, Qila Abdullah, Pishin, Ziarat, Mastung, Muslim Bagh, Kan Mehtarzai, and Kalat have destroyed solar panels, trees, and gardens.
The communication infrastructure in rural Sinjawi, Pishin, Toba Kakari, Shelabagh, Qila Abdullah, and Pishin areas was affected by heavy rains and hailstorms, which caused major problems for the residents.
Six individuals, including four children, were injured after a house’s roof collapsed in Pasni’s ward number five as a result of rain.
The injured were removed from the wreckage by the rescue workers, who then transported them to the hospital.
When the roof collapsed in Karkh, a 13-year-old girl was buried beneath the debris and perished, while three other people were injured.
For Balochistan this week, further sporadic rains are expected, according to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD).
“Westerly winds will enter the western areas of Balochistan on the night of April 16 and will spread to the upper regions of the country on April 18,” it stated.
