According to Bridget Phillipson, parents may not be able to secure their first choice spot even though they will all be eligible for the complimentary 30-hour program by September of next year.
This is due to a shortage of personnel and locations, according to Ms. Phillipson.
She wrote in the Sun on Sunday, “It’s understandable that parents feel betrayed and disappointed.
“The last Conservative government recklessly rushed through a childcare pledge without a plan to carry it out, once again leaving Labour to pick up the pieces and fix the foundations.”
“Yes, the 2025 childcare rollout will proceed, but it won’t be the sunny uplands that the Conservatives had promised,” she continued.
This implies that although parents may obtain the hours they were promised in some regions of the nation, they may not get the nursery or childminder of their choice.
Although it may not please parents, this Labour government is focused on serving the people.
