At Winder, near Atlanta, Apalachee High School, 14-year-old Colt Gray is suspected of shooting two pupils and two teachers to death on Wednesday.
The Georgia Bureau of Investigation reports that eight more pupils and another teacher were hurt, but they should fully recover.
The teenager’s aunt, Annie Brown, claims that thirty minutes before to the shooting, her sister made a call to the school counselor.
She informed the Washington Post that her son was involved in a “severe emergency” and that they needed to locate him “immediately.”
A 10-minute call was placed from the family’s shared phone plan to the school during that period, according to phone data provided to the newspaper and later verified by the Associated Press.
On Friday, Gray showed up in court to face adult charges related to the killings of Christina Irimie, 53, Mason Schermerhorn, 14, Christian Angulo, 14, and Richard Aspinwall, 39.
Colin Gray, the 54-year-old father of the victim, was also present in court and faces charges of second-degree murder and involuntary manslaughter for permitting his son to obtain a weapon.
