Around 10.30 p.m. on Friday, someone called the police after finding Barbara Nomakhosi’s dead at a Walnut Avenue property.
Police think she passed away earlier that night.
Although a suspect was named, Greater Manchester Police claimed that the man passed away at around 9 p.m. that same night after being struck by a lorry traveling east on the M65 between junctions 5 and 6.
At the scene, the man, who was in his 40s, was declared deceased.
Although an investigation is underway, authorities claim that there is no more risk to the public and that no other suspects are being looked for in relation to her death.
Investigations are also underway on the motorway incident.
The 35-year-old Ms. Nomakhosi’s family has praised her “thoughtful” disposition and stated that she was “always checking up” on loved ones.
“Barbara cherished her role as a caregiver and loved her family,” the statement issued by the police read.
“We are not currently seeking anyone else in connection with this tragic incident and I want to reassure residents that there is no wider threat to the community,” stated Detective Chief Inspector Mark Davis.
Barbara’s family has our unwavering support, and we will do all within our power to assist them during this difficult time.
We encourage anyone with pertinent footage or information to get in touch with Crimestoppers, Lancashire Police, or Greater Manchester Police.
