“Everyone flew through the air”: 18 people were murdered in an Israeli strike on Beirut, according to survivors.

With only a few plastic bags he could salvage from his 45-year-old home, Mohammed Sukayneh picked his way through piles of debris and twisted metal.

According to Lebanon’s Health Ministry, an Israeli attack last night killed 18 people, including four children, after it fell on top of him and his family.

About 150 meters from the entrance to the Rafik Hariri hospital in southern Beirut, Lebanon’s largest public hospital, the unexpected attack occurred where many believed they would be secure.

Mohammed was sleeping in his bed with his family.

He claimed that “we didn’t recognize what is happening.”

“We hear a sound like ‘boom, boom, boom, boom’ like this after the strike.

And we are thrust into everything. We have fresh meat, fresh blood, steel, metal, and stones. It was impossible for you to talk, breathe, or take oxygen.

He lists five neighbors whose homes are still under the debris. Additionally, two 19-year-old girls who were sitting outside his door were among the others who were instantly killed in their own neighborhood.
