Russia is incensed with President Biden’s decision to permit Ukraine to launch an attack inside Russia using US-supplied long-range missiles.
The Russian government newspaper Rossiyskaya Gazeta said on its website Monday morning that departing US President Joe Biden had made one of the most controversial and rash moves of his administration, which could have disastrous repercussions.
Head of the pro-Kremlin Liberal-Democratic Party and Russian MP Leonid Slutsky said the move will “inevitably lead to a serious escalation, threatening serious consequences.”
It was dubbed “an unprecedented step towards World War Three” by Russian Senator Vladimir Dzhabarov.
Indeed, anger. No real surprise, though.
“A predictable escalation” is how the pro-Kremlin tabloid Komsomolskaya Pravda described it.
