RAWALPINDI: The military’s media wing reported Thursday that 13 terrorists were killed in three different operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, while a Pakistan Army major accepted martyrdom.
The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) claims that an intelligence-based operation was carried out in response to reports of terrorist activity in the Bannu district’s Jani Khel neighborhood.
According to the ISPR, two terrorists were killed when security forces troops successfully engaged their location during the operation.
In the meantime, another IBO was carried out in the district of North Waziristan, where security forces successfully eliminated five militants during the gunfight while injuring eight others.
However, Major Muhammad Awais, a 31-year-old inhabitant of District Narowal, was in charge of his forces throughout the fierce firefight.
