LAHORE/PESHAWAR: A weather notice for Lahore and other regions of the province has been issued by the Punjab Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA), warning of persistently high rainfall and thunderstorms.
According to the PDMA, the bad weather on Monday night resulted in 24 injuries and two fatalities in different incidences around Punjab.
According to the authorities, rainfall caused by thunderstorms is predicted to continue through May 4 in places including Dera Ghazi Khan, Lahore, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Faisalabad, and Sargodha. The divisions of Multan, Sahiwal, and Bahawalpur are probably going to be impacted as well.
Authorities also issued warnings about the possibility of lightning strikes for the next three days and the danger of landslides in the Galiyat region and Murree as a result of the continuous rains.
