QUETTA: Chief Conservator of Wildlife Sharifuddin Baloch announced on Friday that the Balochistan Forest and Wildlife Department had successfully retrieved five wolf pups during an operation in the Kakar Khorasan region of Zhob.
According to the chief conservator, police officers and Levies also participated in the operation.
According to Sharifuddin, the “grey wolf” is the name of the recovered wolf species. According to him, the grey wolf population in Balochistan is in danger of going extinct.
“The grey wolf is a rare species and its population is low in the province,” he said.
The wildlife official added that the rescued wolf pups would be returned to their natural habitat following appropriate care and rehabilitation.
