According to senior security officials who spoke to news on Saturday, the Pakistan Armed Forces have launched a massive retaliatory strike known as “Operation Bunyan-um-Marsoos” against over 20 Indian military sites spread across multiple regions, marking a significant escalation of the ongoing military conflict between Pakistan and India.
Officials called the strikes “precise and proportionate,” and they were carried out in retaliation for India’s ongoing aggression both inside Pakistan’s borders and across the Line of Control (LoC).
This comes after India launched missile strikes in several Pakistani cities on the evening of May 5 and 6, which New Delhi said were directed at “terrorist targets” in retaliation for the Pahalgam incident in the Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) last month.
