LAHORE: According to a formal announcement released on Sunday, all of Punjab’s educational institutions that were closed because of the increased tensions between India and Pakistan are scheduled to reopen today (Monday).
Academic activities will resume as usual in all schools across the province, according to the notification.
Due to the current security situation, the Punjab government had previously closed schools for two days, Friday and Saturday, as a precaution.
At least 31 people, including children, were murdered in an unprovoked Indian cross-border attack on May 7, marking the most recent escalation in the long-running conflict between India and Pakistan. Pakistan responded by bringing down dozens of drones and five IAF fighter jets, including three Rafales.
