As a youngster, the 52-year-old actor from The Office and Sherlock claimed he “was never comfortable with the idea of eating animals” and thus became a vegetarian in January 1986.
However, he claimed that because their alternatives can be “very, very processed,” he had returned to eating meat.
He declared, “I’m trying to eat less processed food,” during an interview with professional chef Angela Hartnett and Nick Grimshaw on the Dish podcast.
In the podcast, visitors have dinner with the hosts; in the most recent installment, Hartnett’s bolognese was served.
Freeman acknowledged that his mother was a “pretty good cook,” but he stated it might be the first “proper” bolognese he had ever experienced.
Returning to an omnivore diet was something “really new” that had happened in the last few months, he claimed.
