PTI activist Sanam Javed was informed by Islamabad District and Sessions Court Afzal Majoka, who overturned the nikkah in the iddat case against PTI founder and his wife Bushra Bibi, that he did not show partiality to anyone and that he rendered the decision in accordance with the law after considering the arguments of attorneys on both sides.
While hearing an appeal from the FIA over Sanam Javed’s dismissal from the case, Majoka made three statements.
PTI activist Sanam Javed stated, “You did a favor in the Iddat case, thank you,” to Additional Sessions Judge Afzal Majoka. Majoka retorted, “I have done justice, I have done no favors to anyone.”
Lawyers continued to arrive and spar. I made a ruling based on the law,” Judge Majoka informed Sanam.After appearing in court, Sanam Javed was given permission to return.

In the iddat nikah case, a court in Islamabad on July 13 exonerated former prime minister Imran Khan and his spouse, Bushra Bibi, and also granted them orders of liberty. Afzal Majoka, the Additional Sessions Judge, acknowledged the appeals and issued a reserved verdict. The trial court’s judgment was overturned when the appeals were accepted.
Regarding the primary appeals of Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi against their sentences in the iddat nikah case, Majoka rendered a written ruling in 28 pages.
