After experiencing “overwhelming sexual jealousy” as a result of a love triangle at school, a head teacher used a wrench to attack his deputy.
Following the March 5 incident at St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Comprehensive in Aberavon, Neath Port Talbot, 54-year-old Anthony Felton guilty to intentionally attempting grievous bodily harm.
Felton went after Richard Pyke, 51, and attacked him from behind before he was taken to the hospital for minor injuries.
Felton, of Penyrheol Road, Gorseinon, Swansea, was given a two-year and four-month term on Friday. Judge Paul Thomas KC stated that he believed it was “entirely without precedent” for a head teacher to attack his deputy.
