PESHAWAR: Party sources stated on Monday that Imran Khan, the founder of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), has ordered party MNA Junaid Akbar to resign from his position as head of the Public Accounts Committee (PAC).
Sources claim that Khan’s sister, Aleema Khan, delivered his message to the party leadership.
The former prime minister gave PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan and Secretary General Salman Akram Raja a written order requesting that Akbar step down from the position and devote all of his attention to his duties inside the party.
According to insiders, Akbar, the PTI’s president for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, is expected to be replaced as the new PAC chairman by Omar Ayub, a prominent PTI official.
