ISLAMABAD: Pakistan hailed the announcement of the collapse of the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) on Monday, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said, calling it a major step toward a Turkiye free of terror and enduring peace.
“This historic development reflects the unwavering resolve of the Turkish leadership, under my dear brother President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, and the Turkish nation to continue their march forward towards reconciliation, unity, and stability,” the prime minister said on his X handle.
He added that Pakistan and Turkey were still dedicated to combating terrorism in all of its forms and manifestations.
