KARACHI: On the second day in a row, rain and gusty winds brought relief from the hot and muggy weather to several parts of the city.
Gulistan-e-Johar in Karachi had heavy rains and high gusts, while districts close to Sharea Faisal and Karsaz also experienced downpours. These precipitation events resulted in traffic congestion and overflowing drains, causing inconvenience for commuters.
Rainwater buried both tracks of the arterial road from Drigh Road to Karsaz, causing a traffic bottleneck at Sharea Faisal as well.
In addition, police report that two buses collided near Drigh Road Railway Station, injuring at least four people and significantly disrupting traffic at Sharea Faisal.
