According to Punjab police, “there is no victim” connected to the claims that provoked a violent protest in Lahore the previous day. The claims are to the alleged rape of a private college student.
Following the widespread dissemination of allegations of a female student’s alleged rape on social media, a group of students assembled outside a private college on Monday in protest.
As the demonstration descended into violence and fights broke out between the students and police, at least 28 individuals were hurt.
Subsequently, the demonstration was postponed, and it was planned to have another one today.
Noteworthy, the college security guard was detained by the authorities after he was suspected of raping a pupil.
