Karachi: The sitting judge of the anti-terrorism court (ATC), who had denied the physical remand of Armaghan, the main suspect in the Mustafa Amir murder case, has been recommended by the Sindh High Court (SHC) to have his administrative powers revoked.
A two-member panel chaired by Justice Zafar Rajput rendered a thorough decision in the case.
The acting prosecutor general stated that accusations of record tampering led to the decision to remove the judge’s authority.
The ATC judge was the target of four petitions from the prosecution, which claimed that he had denied the suspect’s physical remand in the preliminary stage.
