Gohar Ali Khan, the chairman of the PTI, was freed on Tuesday, one day after being taken into custody by the Islamabad police and removed from Parliament.
A court in Islamabad dealing with counterterrorism dismissed him from cases that were filed at the Sangjani Police Station. Additionally, Sher Afzal Marwat, Zain Qureshi, and Aamir Dogar have been placed on physical remand for a period of eight days by the court.
Gohar was one of six leaders detained by the federal capital police Friday night. Following the National Assembly session, they took them.
The PTI leaders were accused of breaking the terms of the contract that was struck prior to Sunday’s demonstration. The public meeting began later than scheduled and continued past the hour agreed upon by all parties.
