ISLAMABAD: Speaker Ayaz Sadiq issued production orders for at least ten Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Members of the National Assembly (MNAs) on Thursday after they were taken into custody during a late-night raid at Parliament House on suspicion of breaking a recently passed law prohibiting public gatherings.
Following a late-night raid, law enforcement agencies (LEAs) and “masked men” are said to have stormed into Parliament House on Monday and taken at least ten members of the imprisoned former prime minister Imran Khan’s party out.
Many complaints were brought against PTI leaders, including the alleged attack on the police at Chongi No. 26, which became the scene of gunfire between PTI members and law enforcement after the formers veered off course.
