Speaking in the capital of Ukraine, the foreign secretary stated that Kyiv “absolutely has the right” to retaliate and that it was up to Ukraine to decide how to use the weaponry that had been provided.
“In terms of what the Ukrainians do, in our view, it is their decision about how to use these weapons; they are defending their country; they were illegally invaded by Putin; and they must take those steps,” said Lord Cameron during a visit to Kyiv. Britain has supplied billions of pounds worth of equipment to Ukraine.

To be clear, though, Russia has attacked Ukraine, and Ukraine has every right to defend itself.
When asked if those targets included those within Russia, he responded, “Ukraine has the right to make that judgment.
