According to officials, a suicide bombing in North Waziristan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, on Saturday claimed the lives of at least eight security officers and injured five more.
The attack intentionally targeted a police post in Mir Ali’s Eidak neighborhood, according to law enforcement sources.
On condition of anonymity, a local police officer told AFP that the bomber detonated the explosion from the rear of a motorbike rickshaw close to the town.
He said the attack near the Afghan border killed four police officers, two members of a state paramilitary unit, and two civilians.
