The Lahore High Court has received a petition contesting the countrywide internet blackout, and the Registrar Office has scheduled a hearing for tomorrow.
The case that Nadeem Sarwar filed will be heard by Justice Shakeel Ahmed.
The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA), the federal government, and other parties have been added as parties to the case by the petitioner.
He said that the abrupt shutdown of the internet and social media apps had a disastrous effect on daily life and business.
The petitioner is requesting the federal government’s decision to be overturned on the grounds that the internet cutoff breaches fundamental rights. They demand that internet services be restored nationwide immediately.
