On Christmas Day, a man was killed when a car struck pedestrians in London’s West End.
According to the Met Police, Aidan Chapman, 25, passed away in a hospital on New Year’s Eve as a result of his injuries.
At 00:45 GMT, a car driving on the wrong side of the road struck four pedestrians, including him, on Shaftesbury Avenue in Soho, the capital’s theater district.
The 30-year-old Anthony Gilheaney of Harlow, Essex, is accused of four counts of attempted murder, inflicting serious injury by driving while intoxicated, operating a motor vehicle recklessly, and carrying a knife in a public setting.
