Is snow suitable for eating? Which snow recipe is Hollywood actress Reese Witherspoon’s favorite? Why is this topic trending on the internet? The video of the Legally Blonde actress’s “delicious” chocolate chip cookie was the beginning of it all.
You did indeed read that right. Oscar-winning actress Reese Witherspoon is a multimillionaire Hollywood star who enjoys eating snow.
The Legally Blonde and Morning Show star posted a TikTok video of herself earlier in January, chowing down on a “Chococinno” that consisted of snow that she had gathered from outside her house, topped with cold brew coffee, chocolate syrup, and salted caramel.
It’s safe to say that opinions on the internet were divided. We’ve all heard “don’t eat yellow snow”, as one follower commented, but apparently innocent-looking white snow has its own hidden dangers.
One user wrote, “No no no… snow is not made to eat.” “U can get seriously sick.”
“I love you, Reese. Here’s a little story from my childhood: Growing up in Minnesota, our teachers would always melt the snow to highlight how unclean it was and to make sure we didn’t eat it! Another person retorted, “Be careful out there.”
“Am I the only one concerned that she scooped it off of her car?” asked one follower, to which Witherspoon responded by stating that the snow had actually been scooped off a cooking grill. “But is that bad?” the follower asked.
The big question was, “What if birds pooped in that snow?” at that point.
Still, a few Tik-Tokers were converted.
One former snow eater retorted, “Fallen snow can be very dirty from the air and wind but who cares.” “Life is a single entity. I had eaten snow when I was younger.”
“I do this same thing every time it snows, I make snow ice cream, but I grew up eating snow and drinking tap water and drinking out of a hose,” stated another.
