LAHORE: Dr. Yasmin Rashid, the leader of Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI), questioned the “bogus government” on Tuesday over who was repeatedly switching the judges presiding over the cases of her and her party members.
“When someone innocent is released on bond, they are arrested in another instance. The PTI leader who is currently detained wrote a letter to Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Qazi Faez Isa stating that “this is not justice; this is political vengeance and the PTI has become a victim of this for one year.”
She stated that a year had passed since the events of May 9 and the women in her group remained behind bars.
Additionally, Dr. Rashid questioned the “fake government” about why the police had not been up with the case files and where the prosecutor was went when it was his turn to present arguments.
She appealed to the chief justice to constitute a judicial commission on May 9 as they had been waiting for getting justice for a year now.
