ISLAMABAD: According to a source, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) demonstration in the federal capital damaged both public and private property to the tune of Rs240 million.
In the wake of the violent protests that occurred in the capital over the weekend, the Islamabad Inspector General’s office has given the report to the chief commissioner of Islamabad.
The protest planned by the main opposition party was held in the capital last week, and while it hasn’t been canceled, supporters haven’t yet taken to the streets this week.
In response to the government’s plans to propose constitutional modifications, the PTI has begun protesting for the “independence of the judiciary” and Imran Khan’s release.
