As the ruling coalition and the ruling party of Sindh come to an agreement over the legislation, PPP leader Syed Naveed Qamar stated that the constitutional change would be carried via Parliament “before October 25.”
“Everyone wants their proposals to be included in the Constitutional Amendments,” he declared on Rubaroo, an episode that aired on Aaj News on Thursday. “The administration can gather enough votes to pass the amendments in a numerical manner.”
The aforementioned date is important for the legal community because it is the retirement date of Qazi Faez Isa, the current Chief Justice of Pakistan, but he did not provide any context for his remarks. The next Chief Justice of Pakistan will be Senior Puisne Judge Justice Mansoor Ali Shah.
