Red Bull’s RB squad’s return to the racetrack for the season’s last six races is an audition for 2025; the only question is which team it will be for.
Even though Sergio Pérez has agreed to a new deal with Red Bull that would keep him employed until the end of 2026, he is being pressured for it.
Lawson will very certainly be in the running back battle the following season.
The New Zealander must at least consistently outperform teammate Yuki Tsunoda in order to be considered for a Red Bull drive with Max Verstappen.
He will not receive the Red Bull drive if he is unable to accomplish that. If he is able to, team principal Christian Horner and motorsport adviser Helmut Marko will have to decide whether they believe he will do better than Perez in the senior squad the following season.
