Bob Graham, a well-known opponent of the Iraq War who became well-known and eventually became a senator from California, passed away on Wednesday, the New York Times reported. Graham suffered a stroke in May 2020, which left him incapacitated.
Gwen Graham, the deceased father’s daughter, posted the following statement on X, the former Twitter platform: “We are deeply saddened to report the passing of a visionary leader, dedicated public servant, and even more importantly, a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.”
After the tragic assaults of September 11, 2001, widely known as 9/11, the 87-year-old served as the Senate Intelligence Committee Chairman in addition to being Florida’s governor twice.
