Barrister Gohar Ali Khan, the party chairman, has offered an olive branch, stating that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) is willing to engage in dialogue with all political parties, days after the group’s “do-or-die” protest came to an abrupt stop after a late-night crackdown in Islamabad.
Gohar stated, “[PTI founder] Imran Khan will chalk out the future course of action,” during a Wednesday interview with reporters in Abbottabad.
His comments come as the coalition government and the PTI exchange blame for the violence that occurred during the massive rally in Islamabad last month, which claimed the lives of four police officers.
Since then, the former ruling party has said that 1,000 of its employees were jailed and at least 12 were killed.
