According to Barrister Gohar Ali Khan, the chairman of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Imran Khan, the imprisoned former prime minister, gave the party leaders instructions to carry on their discussions with Maulana Fazlur Rehman, the head of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Fazl (JUI-F), over the proposed constitutional amendments.
Barrister Gohar made the following statement at a news conference while being joined by other PTI leaders: “We discussed the amendments with the PTI founder, and he has asked us to continue deliberations as it is a very sensitive matter.”
After discussing the constitutional revisions with the party founder, who is presently detained in Adiala jail, the PTI chief issued these remarks following their “inconclusive” discussion.
