After a shootout with suspected kidnappers in Hassan Abdal, the Punjab police miraculously retrieved Intezar Hussain Panjutha, the lawyer for Imran Khan, the founder of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).
The incident occurred late on Saturday night when Attock police officers pulled over a suspicious car as part of a routine inspection. The police spokesperson claimed that a “gang of kidnappers” and an abductee were inside the automobile.
When the cops were apprehended, the kidnappers fired randomly at them. But when the police party retaliated, they ran away, leaving the car with a man trussed up inside.
The police official verified that the abductee, who turned out to be the PTI founder’s lawyer, had been safely retrieved.
