A senior director at Hill Dickinson, a company with over 1,000 employees worldwide, cautioned employees against the usage of AI tools in an email that was viewed by the media.
Much of the usage, according to the company, was against its AI policy, and moving forward, personnel would only be able to access the tools through a request process.
Businesses shouldn’t discourage the use of AI in the workplace, a spokesman for the UK’s data watchdog, the Information Commissioner’s Office, told news news.
The representative went on to say: “Organizations cannot ban AI use and encourage employees to use it covertly because AI offers workers many ways to perform more effectively and efficiently.
